I took the picture above 2 years ago in Budapest. It’s taken, I surmise, from somewhere on the grounds of the Vajdahunyad Vara. One can see part of Heroes’ Square in the upper right hand corner, and the hills of Buda in the far background.
It just seemed like a nice winter photo for today.
I, like every Hoosier child, learned to skate. I wonder how long I could go today without cracking a tailbone. I haven’t done it in years. I guess I’d do alright. I have done inline skating since, and was perfectly competent as long as the surface was perfectly flat. (Add a few degrees of slope and I was a menace, nay – a danger, to myself and all others in general proximity.)
